Rain day 3

Once again the water is getting worse. I've been able to go out for a little walk. I had to rub oil all over my legs due to the stinky sewerage water touching my feet. eewww. Today i experienced the most bizarre thing. i stayed awake for a long time. I am going through major insomnia due to my sleeping during the afternoon. I'm not sure how my family handles it. They sleep from 2-5. So since its raining i had nothing else to do but to sleep.

A little background: There is a Muslim celebration right now called Ramadan during which they fast during daylight.
meaning they can only eat before sunrise and after sunrise. Due to them having to eat before sunrise at exactly 3:30AM there is a huge loud speaker that comes on and tells everyone this i will translate to my best ability
"Wake up, wake up, it is time to eat. Wake up wake up it is 3:30 time to eat. "

and then another one comes on after an hour or so
"stop eating, stop eating. It is time to stop eating"

oh man it was sooo incredibly loud. i can't believe that someone has to tell them to start eating and stop eating. this only happens in the morning and not the afternoon. Anyway that entertained me for a bit, knowing that all theses little kids are waking up now all groggy having to eat rice and fish or rice and lentils and then groggily getting back to bed. The fasting thing is not an issue really, i just think it's so funny that there needs to be a loud anouncement that tells people when to eat and when to stop.
